Open House – Open for students and parents, teachers will be present in their classrooms, co-curricular teachers, and clubs will be in the Parish Hall
Chapel – Every Tuesday and Friday in the church. Grades 1-8 meet at 8:30 am, and grades pre-school through K meet at 9 am. Parents are always welcome to attend;
All school chapels meet at 9 am.
Flag Gathering – Every Tuesday everyone gathers around the green to celebrate our nation by saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing a patriotic song.
Convocation – Opening celebration for parents only. ELP begins at 6 pm in the classroom, then on to the church at 7 pm. Preschool through grade 5 meet in the church at 7 pm and proceed to the classrooms at 7:30 to 8:30
Grandparent/Special Friends Chapel – This is a 9 am all school chapel, with time for grandparents to visit the classrooms, and the book fair after the chapel.
All Saints Chapel – An all school chapel at 9 am, celebrating All Saints Day
Community Service Day – Children from all grade levels work on projects for those in need. Work benefits several city organizations, such as CAPS, Lord of the Streets, WHAM, and Seafarers.
St. Nicholas Chapel – An all school chapel at 9 am celebrating and meeting St. Nicholas
The Nativity – Presented by Kindergarten and accompanied by Preschool and Pre-K, 9 am in the church, the story of the birth of Christ.
Epiphany Chapel – An all school chapel presented by Pre-K, telling the story of the journey of the Wise men.
Scripps Spelling Bee – As part of the National Spelling Bee contest, our students in grades 3-5 participate in a preliminary contest to determine our school winner. This student goes on to compete in a regional contest.
Rodeo Day – A Texas and Ascension school tradition for all grades. Children from preschool through grade 8 experience dancing, games, pony rides, petting zoo and lunch for this early March event.
Mothers Day Chapel – A Friday all school chapel at 9 am to honor our mothers. A reception in the Parish Hall follows this chapel.
Elementary Spring Program – Our spring program is presented by Kindergarten through grade 5, at 7 pm in the church.
Graduation – A ceremony held for our fifth and eighth graders in the church as they graduate from Ascension. A reception follows in the Parish Hall.
